E-Safety Week at Walton News Story

Lahore: Internet and technology play a pivotal role in our lives today and with the latest advancements, the need for awareness and knowledge of using technology safely has risen greatly. For this purpose, e-safety activities were conducted throughout Walton Campus from February 22, 2016 to help the students learn ways of staying safe online. Throughout the week, campus-wide homeroom time, PSHE Lessons, IT Lessons, Art Lessons and morning assemblies were conducted, dedicated solely towards e-safety related topics. Early Years had an E-safety walk around the school to see the interactive e-safety soft board displays. An ELE and Skype session related to e-safety was also conducted. Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Middle sections organised an e-safety session for parents in which FIA NR3C Assistant Director Mr Asif Iqbal, accompanied by his digital forensic expert, Mr Waqas discussed cyber bullying and cybercrimes with parents.

Lower Primary students watched a presentation on computer ergonomics and cyber safety rules, while the Middle School had activities about plagiarism and ways to avoid it.
