Healthy Breakfast Week News Story

Lahore: To create awareness about the importance of breakfast, the faculty and students enthusiastically celebrated Healthy Breakfast Week on March 31, 2016. The students’ response was overwhelming.

A special morning assembly was conducted on the importance of healthy breakfast. Class VIII D presented a role play to highlight the importance of breakfast for their academic progress. The role play was followed by the presentations on the benefits of breakfast and the effects of skipping breakfast.

The students brought healthy homemade breakfast throughout the week. The week was a great success that helped students to develop healthy eating habits. Students also learned to plan the menu and table setting for formal dining.

On the last day of Healthy Breakfast Week, a competition was held among the Houses. Senior School Headmistress Ms Ayesha Khalid and Junior Primary Headmistress Ms Zeba Naqvi evaluated the nutritional value and table setting of the breakfast of students.

Jinnah House students were declared the winner of the competition in the special assembly by the Middle School Headmistress Ms Samreen Tariq. Ms Mubashra and Ms Bushra Pervaiz from SGO II also appreciated the students’ efforts. The week ended on a high note and students promised to maintain the habit of eating a healthy breakfast on daily basis.
