Lahore: Beaconhouse JTC Senior Girls shared moments of immense gratitude, excitement and a kaleidoscope of emotions at the grand extravaganza of the JT medley. The event took place over three days from October 28 to 30, 2016. Students from various campuses of Beaconhouse were invited to participate.

Day one opened with a contest of Mushaira and Tehtul lafz/gaiki. Performances of poetry and ghazal with healthy doses of wit and humour resulted in a hearty applause from the audience.

Day two kicked off with a ‘Click to Win’ photography contest; a theme-based competition that was judged on inventive silhouettes, unique compositions and well-defined clarity of images.

This was followed by a ‘Bilingual Declamation Contest’, an Urdu and English debate competition. Topics ranged from humorous to serious with passionate speakers who captured the audience with their eloquence and thought-provoking words. An English short story writing and Urdu essay writing competition was next. Participants had to capture readers with the mastery of their writing skills to get to the prize.

This was followed by an ‘Artography Contest’ with boundless creativity and ingenuous ideas. There were three distinct categories for the students to choose from including ‘Zentangle art’, ‘Flower arrangement’ and ‘Still Life.’

A ‘Quiztal Maize’ contest was held next which was a three round quiz contest. The quiz featured difficult questions targeted to challenge the participants’ knowledge and application with the ability to respond and collaborate effectively.

The prize distribution ceremony was held on the third and final day to applaud the extraordinary performances delivered by the students. Trophies with their names inscribed were awarded to the wonderful performers. At the end of the ceremony, a delicious lunch was served.

This event was arranged by the JT Management and Ushers and aided by the unbridled guidance of the staff.
