English Declamation Competition News Story

Lahore: Beaconhouse Walton Campus Upper Primary Section held an English Declamation Competition for Classes IV and V on March 30 and 31, 2017. Class V students had to speak in favour or against the topic “Pop Music Teaches Wrong Values” on March 30, 2017. Two students from each section presented their arguments. Students were well-prepared and performed very well as their parents also attended to lend their support.

From Class V, Safa Sarfraz and Haadia Adam secured the first position, while Hasnain Bukhari and Zainab Usman landed in second position. The third position was secured by Alishba Majid and Hoor Rafique.

The competition for Class IV students took place the next day, on March 31, 2017. They were given the topic “A Selfie a Day Keeps the Insecurities Away”. Again, two students from each section got the chance to present their view-point in favour or against the topic. Students performed exceptionally well with valid arguments from both sides. Parents were also invited to the event.

Khizar Ahmad Aziz of Class IV-Violet secured the first position. In second place were Muhammad Faateh Virk of Class IV-Green and Fylza Farhan of Class IV-Violet. Last but not the least, the third position was secured by Ayla Salman of Class IV-Blue and Fatima Atif of Class IV-Gold.
