Karachi: World Scholar’s Cup, aims at motivating students of all backgrounds to discover new strengths and practice new skills. Each year thousands of students on five continents participate in the World Scholar's Cup. For the first time, this competition took place in Karachi, at Beaconhouse Johar campus.

Ibrahim Hussain (VIII B), Ayna Shakil (VIII G), Nabiha Rehman (VIII O), Muhammad Reyan (VIII E), Muhammad Naheel (VIII M), Mysha Zulfiqar (VIII Q), Ibrahim Shabbir (VIII M), Eman Fatimah (VIII O) and Jaffer Hassan (VIII B) participated in the Regional Round. Divided into three teams, our students were thrilled to meet and mingle with students from different Schools and other Beaconhouse Branches and matched wits with them in the four different events of the programme namely Team Debate, Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing and Scholar’s Challenge.

The teams lifted 29 Gold Medals, 31 Silver Medals, 3 Shields and two trophies for their debating, writing and quizzing skills. All three teams have qualified for the Global Round. These teams will attend the next round in one of the three cities- Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Barcelona (Spain) or Melbourne (Australia). The entire branch celebrated this fantastic achievement. All our scholars shared their experience with the other students in the morning assembly where their peers were looking up to them in awe and admiration. Well done students!
