Islamabad: World Space Week, officially chartered by the UN General Assembly in 1999, is the biggest space event celebrated across the globe. This year the theme was ‘Space Unites the World’. More than 3,000 events were registered with the WSW Association. Ironically very few were from Pakistan. BMC Girl's Section was one of the campuses that celebrated the event on October 10, 2018.

Students participated by delivering presentations and making posters on the theme, Space Exploration, Militarisation and Habitation. Two guest talks were also delivered.

A solar observation session was arranged in collaboration with the Lahore Astronomical Society and Zeds Observatory. Mr Umair Asim, one of the country's leading astronomers used Pakistan's largest solar telescope for astronomical observations of solar prominence.
