Karachi: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at Beaconhouse Kindergarten Gulshan with great zeal and enthusiasm on August 23, 2019. All children proudly wore badges of the flag of Pakistan. The program commenced with everyone singing the national anthem. The highlight of the day was a cultural walk by the Pre-Nursery students followed by a cultural dance by Nursery and KG students in their beautiful traditional dresses. The spirit of freedom was kept alive by the school choir through patriotic songs and poems. A group of students had a panel discussion that enlightened the significance of independence and freedom. Numerous other activities such as Putli Tamasha (puppet show), pottery wheel and Bundar Tamasha (monkey show) bared the true and colourful picture of Pakistan. Revelers could also take part in computer-technology related project of designing a flag of Pakistan on 2Animate software, including an art session on making flags and decorating traditional dresses. There was also an art competition for sketching Minar-e-Pakistan. It was indeed a fun packed event thoroughly enjoyed by all.
