Rawalpindi: Beaconhouse Potohar Boys Campus (BPBC) attended the plantation drive initiated by NHA along Grand Trunk (GT) road on August 4, 2019. This initiative was part of the Prime Minister’s ‘Clean and Green Pakistan Campaign’ to make national highways eco-friendly. Federal Minister of Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed and MNA Ms. Asma Qadeer graced the occasion as Beaconites, along with major dignitaries, participated in the plantation near Mandra Toll Plaza. BPBC took this opportunity make Beaconites feel the pride and joy of creating green highways for the beloved land, Pakistan. The program encompassed not only planting saplings, but also to becoming the custodians of the plants so that the saplings grow into a green wall. Principal BPBC Ms. Ayesha Sohail was amongst the chief guests and participated actively in the plantation drive. Beaconites then stood arm in arm for singing the national anthem while a select O and A Level students planted the saplings along with Murad Saeed. Beaconites also gave interviews to the reporters from national TV channels as they shed light on the importance of such events in the country and pledged to continue this initiative in school as well as on individual level.
