Islamabad: BMIB shows unity with our Kashmiri kin each year on 27th October. Not even a worldwide pandemic can deter our enthusiasm to express solidarity with Kashmiris on Black day. Beaconhouse Margalla Islamabad Boys Branch is proud to share its participation in the grand event organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This colossal event took place on Tuesday, 27 October 2020. The attendees included dignitaries from different countries, parliamentarians and other important guests. The chief guest of this event was the Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Quraishi, along with the Information Minister Senator Shibli Faraz and the Federal Minister for Kashmiri Affairs Shehryar Ali Afridi. Every year this day is marked as “Black” in Pakistan to condemn illegal occupation of India and to support the just struggle of Kashmiri people.

Furthermore, pupils of Beaconhouse School System highlighted the significance of the Kashmir Black Day, by exhibiting unmatched passion in three different categories: 'Arts, Letter to the citizens and Poetry'. Students displayed their stand and support of Kashmiri children as they deserve the same rights. The brilliant performance of our passionate students sent a loud and clear message to the international community that attention needs to be paid to the misery of the Kashmiri people. This community must stop the human rights violations in the occupied territory and should play its role in bringing about a solution for the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

We are grateful to all of our students who participated in the event and won the first, second and third prizes in three different categories. Beaconhouse especially thanks Eshan Ahmad, who captivated the audience with his positive message in his powerful letter. We are immensely proud of you all for raising your voices against innocent children of Kashmir.
