Lahore:Melange 4.0, the fourth edition of BVTL’s annual event, was a three-day extravaganza packed with entertainment and amusement. A much-needed respite from daily life, it gave students a chance to take a breath away from academics. After weeks of preparation, it took place from February 11 to 13 with participation from schools all over Pakistan. The event and associated segments all went off without a hitch thanks to the efforts of students and teachers alike, who worked night and day to ensure everything was in place. This was an unfamiliar endeavour for BVTL, as due to COVID-19 restrictions, this was the first virtual Mélange! Organizing this event online on such a large scale was definitely a challenge, but due to hard work from all sides, it was a success.

The first day of the three-day event started off with the opening ceremony, and segued into Bazm-e-Sukhn (Urdu poetry), Inquisitive ‘21 (quiz), E-Intelligence (Science projects), Podium (speeches), and ended with Hunar Kada (drama).

The second day continued with the spirit of the first, opening with Elocution (dramatic reading), and continuing on to Aesthetics (art), Beats (music), Enigma (puzzle solving), and ending with Fitness Fury (fitness).

The third and final day opened with one of the most-awaited events Game Zone (E-Sports), leading into Click IT (photography), Food Fusion (cooking), Mathletics (Math), with Glitz and Glam (fashion) as the last segment of the whole event. Mélange officially closed on February 13th with the Closing Ceremony and subsequent announcement of winners.

All competitors worked hard to prove their mettle, and participated with integrity and resilience, for which the organizers were thankful. In the end, this year’s Mélange reached the finish line with the promise of another edition in the future.
