Dhaka: Beaconhouse Dhaka celebrated the 6th Global Dignity Day on the school premises on October 9. This year, the Dignity Project was designed to analyse the students' eating habits, raise awareness regarding the harmful effects of processed food, and bring an attitudinal change in the way we produce, select, cook, and preserve food.

Students from Classes IV to X made presentations on processed food and organic food. They showed the differences, harmful effects, advantages and disadvantages of the ingredients in processed food and their effects on the human body.

Students conducted surveys on individual food items, took pictures, used their skills to make their presentations more meaningful and lively. They showed their creativity and awareness through practical work as well as on the final presentation. Students from all classes also brought different organic foods and processed foods to school to spread more awareness about healthier eating habits.

The parents were also present to see their children's work and appreciated their efforts. At the end, Mrs Hina Arshad gave a short speech about Global Dignity Day and its vision, and handed out certificates to the students who participated.
