Karachi: We at NNM believe that ‘Drama’ is ideal for cross-curricular learning and is a valuable tool for use in many subject areas. It develops and supports speaking and listening, extends vocabulary and encourages our students to express different points of view. Keeping these merits of drama in mind, students of Classes VI, VII and VIII auditioned and a cast was then finalized to take part in the Annual Urdu Plays. On February 11, 2020, students of Classes VI and VII, presented humorous Urdu Plays 'Meethay Jootay' written by Ismat Chugtai and 'Aaram o Sukoon' by Imtiaz Ali Taj, respectively. On February 12, 2020, students of Class VIII presented ‘Ek Din Ka Badshah’ written by Mumtaz Mufti. Their spectacular performance left the audience thoroughly entertained. Students of the three levels who performed in these plays learned the use of humour by the three playwrights and their unique writing styles. Their confidence and dialogue delivery earned them applause from every member of the audience.
