Urdu Spellathon Contest News Story

Gujranwala: Spellathon is a student engagement programme that focuses on creating awareness regarding environmental issues, by inculcating a healthy reading habit. The World Wide Fund (WWF) team provided stories to the students, which touched upon the environmental issues of Pakistan. As part of this programme, a spelling competition is also held based on the storybook that the students read.

Beaconhouse Citi Housing Campus Gujranwala hosted an Urdu Spellathon Contest for classes II – V. The final competition was held on February 20, 2020 and consisted of two rounds. In the first round students were asked to write ten words each. The second round gave students a minute to write as many words they could possibly write. The event was a success and provided a fun, yet educational element which the students thoroughly enjoyed and participated with a lot of enthusiast.
