“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children”

Rawalpindi: To shed ample light on this important and noteworthy quote, the students of grade 1 and grade 2 of Beaconhouse Potohar Campus KG & P, passionately celebrated Earth’s Day on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Beaconhouse Schooling Uninterrupted to exhibit their love, care, and affection for the Mother Earth. The students were made aware of the historical background of Earth’s Day, its importance, and the purpose of celebrating it through PowerPoint presentations, related videos, and many fun-filled activities. The students ardently participated in different projects like poster making, recycling materials, making pledges to save Earth, water, and its resources, and also planted new trees with their parents. They also played many exhilarating games related to recycling and making the Earth greener. The students also enjoyed making badges for themselves and their siblings at home. The motive behind this was to inculcate in our youth the spirit that every one of us can bring a change if we play our part seriously and effectively. It also emphasised reducing, reusing, recycling, and protecting our planet, Earth.
